How will View Dynamic Glass effect daylight harvesting systems?

Although transition lenses are no longer touted as a new technology, View Dynamic Glass is utilizing the technology in new ways to reduce glare, create more comfortable visual environments and reduce overall energy costs. Publishing an approx. savings of 20% on lighting utility costs (in typical case studies), I am curious how this product will affect intelligent daylight harvesting systems. Are these two systems friend or foe? Are they counterparts or competitors? Can they live together on the same network and communicate in unison? Or could the View Dynamic Glass replace a daylight harvesting system?
